About Me
My name is Matt. I am a finance major attending a well respected business school in the United States. After graduating, I want to pursue a career in investment banking or asset management. During my free time I enjoy spending time with friends, watching and playing sports, and reading. Most of my time, however, is used to focus on school, work, this blog.

History
My introduction to the investment world began at age 13 when I invested in my first mutual fund. I invested about $1,000 in a small value fund, and was lucky enough to make 60% the first year. The same year, I participated in a stock market contest at my school and performed very well. These positive events, helped solidify my early finance and investing interest.

I continued to read, study, and invest more throughout high school. In addition, I started my first finance internship in high school at a private wealth management firm which was a valuable learning experience. Now in college, I continue to attempt to learn more about finance and investing every day, by reading more, investing, and working in interesting finance and investing internships. I have worked at a large pension fund, as a research analyst at a small hedge fund, and have interned at one of the largest hedge funds in the world in a securities lending group.

Why I Started this Blog
Finance and investing can be extremely complex subjects. There are immense amounts of information and investing strategies. As mentioned above, I strive to learn more about finance and investing every day. One of the best ways to learn is to research subjects and write comprehensive reports about the subject manner. This blog allows me to learn more by researching subjects and enhance the learning process by posting. Many of these posts are in fundamental analysis or financial theory.

Goals
My only true goal for this blog, myself, and the readers is to learn more together. I strive to post high-quality, unique finance and investing topics that will enhance our knowledge about this interesting field. I hope that we can learn more together.
